This group buy has been really good for my finances. I thought I would have received my boots by now, beat them to shit, and maybe even sent them off to get resoled, but instead I've had $700 bucks sitting in my sock drawer waiting for this to get off the ground... If this hasn't happened by August I'm starting my back piece hahaha.

thanks for the price breakdown Rayw44; i can still get my order in? Problem is I need to convince the wife which wont be easy since I just bought a pair of AS Culfords and yesterday evening sniped a pair of Trickers from fleabay...

yes, those are the service boots that were featured in the free and easy magazine; its not really noticeable from that picture but the laces stop about an inch from the top which gives them a rather unique look imo

I would make sure to order them in the nailed down construction, or you will have a different welt. Also, I think that is Viberg's standard heel, and they look to have double midsoles only on the vamp, not in the middle. You might also want to specify no lining (will make them collapse quicker), but that's up to you. And straps an inch longer. But the rest sounds accurate. My setup is aiming for a look like that after some use too, but with some slight modifications.

I believe it is $570 for the service boot and $612 for the engineers, minus 10% for the group savings. Then the horsehide adds an additional 25-30 on top. So the engineers would be right around $580 or so in horsehide, and the service boot would be around $513.

If Demonito can confirm this pricing, I will have to jump on those engineers..

retail price of a boot less 10% = price of discounted boot+ corodvan or horsehide on top of it + shipping

for a service boots we will need 2 cordovan shells to finish.

so think twice if you wanna do cordovan

horsehide wont be that much additional negligible

570 for service boot and 612 for the engineers

I believe he already did.

My Viberg size (I already have Viberg engineers so I am 100% certain of my sizing) is 8.5D. My Clarks size: 8.5, White's: 8.5D, Converse: 8.5, and I believe I am an 8.5 in most Alden lasts. Also, an 8.5 in the Thorogood x Epaulet horsehide boot. Hope it helps.
