The Hypersion series is the best scifi/fantasy story I have ever read. I have not read it in a while. This reminds me that I need to reread it soon.

C.S. Lewis was right in soooo many ways. For me the best book ever on human nature (and fun to read).

his little sheaf A Grief Observed is my favourite; c.s. lewis always carries a quiet and genial tone in his books but that had a thoroughly different personality.

Anyone's into Yukio Mishima? I read Confession of a Mask this winter and i'd like to read something else from him, but his library is so huge, I don't know where to start (or continue in this instance) any suggestions?

I've only read 'Spring Snow' by Mishima. Thought it was pretty good. I think it's part of the same series as 'Confession of a Mask', but not sure.

I recently got these series on VHS by a friend. I'm not sure if it's the same as the book. I've seen one episode so far; a bit dated but quite amusing.

by Haruki Murakami.

has anyone read this and have a thorough understanding for both novels? both of which are really good, but im confused. i think south of the border, west of the sun was really good. good read. but fuzzy at the end, yet satisfying.
