Took these a while back but never got around to posting them since there was no Tanner thread.

Standard belt and bifold wallet. About 18 months of use.

Hello there!

May i ask what model/color is this belt?

And if my true waist is around 30, what size is recommended for me?

Just got my wallet today. I'm loving how it looks so far! I don't plan on tanning it or oiling it. That should be fine right? I'm a leather noob.

The bridle-style leather has already been oiled at the tannery to a degree, there is no need to oil it unless you want to darken the leather, or accentuate the grain, or soften the wallet, etc...

pics are kinda bad, p&s camera used. about 9 months of wear. it's starting to crack, should i use some oil? and what do you guys recommend?

^ If it is starting to crack, I would apply a deeply penetrating oil (I like to use pure oils, not compounds; for example, horse oil, neatsfoot, etc) and seal the surface with a wax compound (Obenauf's, pure beeswax, Montana pitch blend, etc).

That's just me personally - I do not like any significant grain damage until a few years down the track.

my tanner wallet & laynard my girl got me.

anyone got a pic of yall using the laynard? Still trying to figure out the best way to use it, kinda hard to get it to hang off a belt loop. thanks man.

^ i hang mine from my belt loop by the hook on the riveted end (left side), and put my keys and such on the other end. i'll take a pic when i have some time soon i guess.

The first iteration of the cardholders were made of single pieces of leather, whereas the newer stitched ones have two pieces of leather sewn together - so it definitely has a thicker hand to it.
