mtv was cool at one point, just a long long time ago. when they still had a soul and pretended to care a bit more.

What people don't realize about MTV is that from its inception, ALL programming on MTV is some form of advertisement. Back in the day it kind of made sense, and also advertising techniques were pretty crude and simplistic.

Nowadays you watch something like "spring break" which is incredibly manipulative advertising and you have to wonder Who is Paying for this Crapola and Why!?
