5000 cut.. cheap for a samurai jeans mate..

i got my jins for 19500 yen, brand new, sure i was in japan at the time, but it still got em for cheap.

I thought they looked nice at first and liked some of the details, but the cinchback seems to have no utility. If a belt is worn it seems like it would get in the way. I also think a cinchback jean needs to be quite baggy to have a legitimate vintage feel to them.

I do not agree on the 505 denim though. For my tastes it is beautiful.

The denim is nice but not better(and of course not worse) than that of other Japanese jeans in the price range.

The hype here is almost completely uncalled for.

The same goes for the Warehouse jeans, they are nice but the hype is a joke.

I checked the search and didn't get a great answer, so i'm gonna have to be "that guy"... I want to pre-order the s710xx, and i've not tried jeans that are shrink to fit before. I have sz 36 apc ns that fit perfectly, hard to button up all the way initially, but now they've stretched out nicely. I get the feeling I might need to size up one from that from what i've read, but it only goes up by 2 from there. Some help would be appreciated before I go tossing around $300. Thanks.

I would go with 38 if a 36 APC NS is in fact 38 measured

i've considered the jeans mentioned but i really dont want to settle for anything less than 17oz.. i really love the fit of my 710's. guess ill just hold out for the 710bk or maybe pickup another pair of s5000bk and get them tailored to 710 measurements.

Hey everybody. I've read through almost the entire second half of this thread and I'm really interested in picking up a pair of Samurais. Right now I have my eyes on the S710XX. I like the slim cut and really want to try out a heavier denim. I just have a few questions that I know you guys can answer.

First off, will BiGs 710s have the tab and arcs? On their page, it doesn't have any pictures of the back of the jeans which is why I'm curious. If anybody has Gordon's email, I'd really appreciate being able to get into contact with him. Also, I am going to be in HK this Christmas, so I was wondering if maybe Take5's 710s would have the tab and arcs?

Lastly, I just wanted to know about the sizing of these jeans (I'm sorry that this is probably the one millionth size question, but I've never dealt with these jeans and many of you have). I'm 6'0" and weigh 150 pounds with a true waist of 32". I want to wear these jeans a little lower on my body and it measures out to be around 33 to 33.5". I was thinking about getting something like a 31 to account for the fact that these shrink to about the tagged size but then stretch back out about an inch or two. Would these stretch out about two inches above tagged size? Or would that be a good size to get or would a 32 be better?

^^BxJ, you should be fine sizing down one, my true waist is 31" and i went with a sz30. theyre really snug at first and you wont be able to wear them as low as you want to. the first two weeks or so they sat rather high, but after some coaxing they now sit at my hips, which im assuming is where you want yours to sit. keep in mind that this was for the last shipment and if i recall correctly someone mentioned that the new shipment is expected to shrink a little more after its first soaks/washes. so be wary of that but im sure itll stretch to about the same.

when people say samurai jin they're referring to all sammie models that use jin denim right? I'm kinda lost...the "Jin" isn't a model is it? What's the full cut straight leg version using jin denim?

yeah look at this link and it says jin all over so instead of saying the s0110xj, or the samurai lee model, it just the jin.
