i was wondering if dh shirt sizing had changed from hedi's era's to now's.

and are bee shirts usually smaller than other dh shirts?

I have a colleague who wears DH almost exclusively, and he told me he had to send back a t-shirt this season because the XS was too big for him, which it never used to be.

As for the second question, I have no idea, but I can't see why that would be the case across the board (though many of them could easily run small).

Hey everyone.. my first time posting, but have been following you guys for quite a bit- seems many of you have "my style."

Like many, I absolutely adore Gareth Pugh (his women's RTW in particular). Unless I want to go broke or win the lottery however, I can't buy all of the pieces I love by him.

Does anyone have any recommendations on designers (for womenswear) that have a similar, edgy style like Gareth's, except with a better price range?

--I don't expect Forever21/H&M pricing, but I am hoping for something a little less than the average price of an item at say.. Seven New York.

Thank you.

save your money and buy a key piece like a jacket. alternatively, i believe the fellow referred to as darkanimal has some cheap pugh leggings for sale.

^Yeah. It's actually not terribly hard if the outfit is decent and you add an accessory or two. Hipsters/alternakids suck at it, doesn't mean everyone does.

If you're talking about his concentric black/white star designs, not far off.

I just recently bought a dark gray sports coat. Can I rock it with just a pair of jeans, chucks, and a horizontal striped t? Or would that be going into hipster territory, which I don't want to do.

I AM FASHION LORD AND I WILL SPEAK.

You'll definitely look like a hipster. Sorry, they've claimed a lot of shit. Up to you if you want to deal with the assumptions.

Darn, what can I change up to circumvent this? Should I wear a button down shirt instead or get a different pair of shoes.

Just saw your other post in random thoughts. You should wander around SuFu and Styleforum, especially the What Are You Wearing Today (WAYWT) threads. Find an aesthetic you want to pursue. Give it time, don't immediately freak out and start buying stuff.

In short, lurk more.

I've been contemplating a pair of boots lately but im afraid that they wont look good on my rather stocky 5'8" frame. Most pics wearing boots that look good have that real skinny fit to their jeans that stacks into their already high topped boots.

am i just being paranoid? Anybody have the same issue? What brands can combat my fear? lol

I also recommend saving and getting a key piece from him... you can sometimes luck out and find some crazy shit on the yoox sample sale for like $150.

If not, Hot TOpic is a good start, I would also try a sex shop. pick up a fierce patent buckle corset or a black latex top, or try ebay for straightjackets.

there is tons of crazy cheap shit out there, you just have to keep an open mind and have a firm idea of the look you want to achieve.

Question, does anyone know of a way of saving whole runway shows off like style.com in one go

Or is the only way to tediously save each pic one by one?

Lol, I'm thinking you are going to have to save each picture :(

Why isn't there a this or that or a yay / nay thread stickied in superfashion? I think It would clean it up a little bit.

Anywho, are these enrico fantini too dressy to wear with a pair of nice (non-distressed) black jawns?

EDIT: To Aurelius, stocky 5'8 frame or super skinny 5'2 frame should both be able to pull off boots imo :)

Thanks!!

This is really random. But I'm wondering if anyone knows the designer and season the headgear below is from. I remember seeing it a month or so floating around in a thread:

when it comes to drug-film-fashion-stereotypes, i prefer something more along the lines of trainspotting. also, i no longer know if i am a hipster or if i think i'm a hipster because hipster have taken over so much of non-mainstream (read: hipster) culture

hipster hipster

Sorry if this is the wrong area to post in.. I once made a similar post/opinion post before...

In my last post that I am referring to, I explained how I loved Gareth Pugh's style, not exactly the price tag. I am waiting for Rad's unisex line as well to come out-- which is much more in my price range.

I recently discovered this company DressedUndressed (www.dressedundressed.com) which is the same style, however they are only sold in Japan as of now.

Does anyone know of any other labels, even some decent quality garments on eBay in the particular style I want? Any help would be greatly appreciated :).

I don't know where to ask this so I'm going to try here. on hypebeast it says that DSM has the new Dr. Martins x Comme des Garcons in stock but when I get onto the site it doesn't even show them ever having them.

What's the price range and where can I see them in more detail?

the hyperbeast articles is dated july 19th 2010, so i would presume they have all sold out. try yahoo japan or ebay or something.....

Hi Futurians,

I need a new flat bag/waist bag/ fanny pack. Preferably leather, preferably black but I am open to ideas.

I am having a really problem finding a decent one. Mine was a leather Roots flatbag but it was a bit too casual, sometimes looked like it was a chewbacca satchel.

From all my hunting I have really only turned up the usual suspects like coach, gucci, and LV. They are all too logo'ed. The black Gucci one is almost decent but still too flashy.

If anyone has seen of anything vaguely resembling my description I would love some direction.

As the current DWC has drawn to a close there have been the inevitable questions from all over the cyberspace, which I occupy, as to whether there will be another contest for 2017 – 2019. Today I am pleased to make the announcement that there will be, and confirm a few details about what to expect.

The theme of the latest DWC will be “back to basics”, meaning we’re going to scrap everything from the previous contests and make this one as accessible to everyone as it possibly can be, this means…

Any brand or style of jeans can enter. There will be no weight categories, just one contest fits all. All entered jeans must have only 30 wears or less on day 1 of the contest. Speaking of day 1, the contest will begin on 01/11/17 and run for the standard 24 months to 01/11/19. The contest will be purely forum based, on both Superfuture and the Iron Heart forum only. Registration is open now, and will close 31/10/17. Registration fee for the contest will be a flat $20, payable via Paypal to denimworldchampionship@gmail.com . Upon registration you will be issued an entry number to validate your participation. The entry fee will be used to purchase prizes from our favourite brands and retailers for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Prizes will be announced as soon as possible after registration is complete. Once again we have something quite special planned with our friends at Iron Heart for contest jeans. Our judging panel is currently TBD.
So that is all for now, we’re looking forward to setting off on another denim journey with you all again soon.

      Regards,

      Mega
