I'm not a fan of the 0001 cut at all, which is too far removed from 2001 for my liking, despite Evisu's protestations (their own in-house literature describes it as a 'more modern take on the classic Japanese 2001 cut').

The only Heritage stuff that appeals to me is the 'non-regular' denim, like the green caste or the LHT. It's far more collectable, and definitely in a league of its own...even Evisu don't expect to make much profit out of these lines, as they recognise that only denim aficionados will appreciate these denims for what they are. Stuff like the Brown Box jeans or the Leepros are more of a labour of love - notice how in the UK they're only stocked by a tiny handful of places compared to stockists of the 'regular' Heritage stuff.

Given the choice between a pair of MIJ no.1 jeans or even several pairs of Int. No.1 jeans then it's a complete no-brainer for me, although that's just my take on it...

lol that was quick!! but denim should be the same no?

Well, according to Evisu, the denim they use for their MIJ jeans varies every season......So, I reckon they might use different mills. However, all the denim for the Heritage line is made in Japan (presumably). Most of the denim for the current season was produced by Kaihara.

As Crash said, most people go for the MIJ product mostly for its foundation. In terms of which posesses superior quality......I reckon that'd be hard to determine, since there are too many factors.

I think that No. 1's for the heritage line are pretty exclusive too, particularly the new STF concept..Hopefully, they keep producing it...But yeah, I see what you're saying. It's no telling if they'll continue to produce left hand denim.

BTW, I'm guessing you're still waiting for you pair. That must be fun.
