I've tried on a few Julius leathers. I'd consider myself quite slim, 174cm and 150lbs (68kg). I got it pretty perfect with size 2, hope that helps in some way.

^thanks. i'm starting to think i'm suited more for size 1 than 2. but the 44cm chest measurement is quite alarming considering 46-48cm is my comfort zone. shit, decisions decisions .

swooc, 46-48cm sounds more like julius size 2. DJI knows the measurements for most julius leathers in size 1, so you could ask him and just add 3cm to the pit to pit.

yeah 46cm is usually a sz 2. but i have this feeling i'm more suited for sz 1. so far you, kuugaia and hailxenu have shown that a sz2 will be slightly too large for me.

Yeah weight isn't a good measure of how slim you are I think. I have heavy bones so I just weigh much more than I look.

Swooc I reckon go for a size 1, and if it's too small you can always try stretching fluid. I've read that it can almost go one whole size up with it. The moto's meant to be relatively tight and baggy leathers look crap anyways

Where are you based again Swooc? I don't think going for a size 1 jut when you're most comfortable as a 46~48 is a good idea

yeah I have to agree with N, while the body of the SS08 jut is more forgiving than the FW09 version unless you can deal with a 44-45cm p2p width you won't be comfortable in it. the SS08 version fitted me quite well in size 1 and I'm 173cm/ 53kg.

Yeah I think you're right. On Julius tops I've gotten all size 3. But I tried leathers in 3 and 2, but the 2 definitely fit me the best. Funnily enough this discussion just ran through sz recently as well, and it's been said size 2 is a size 47, lol.

Don't give in to the itch! Especially on leathers lol.

That only really applies to the generously cut leathers like the SS10 moto. Size 3 jut neck doesn't feel like a 48 at all.

I wouldn't buy both D... even if they have different silhouettes, you would need to pair them with similar outfits more or less. Go for one or the other imo. I much prefer the julius skinny boots

I think the dude wearing the sneakers has small feet, hence why it looks so flat at the front. I don't mind the sole but perhaps they wouldn't be the most comfortable shoes around if you need to stretch the upper to fit your foot.

Well like we were discussing last night D I personally think they're way too similar looking

Seams on the sneakers make it look weird, but I have a nagging feeling that the sole would be more comfortable than the mainline boot. Looks less duckish as well although that might be because the model's foot is too short.

Edit: No offense meant to the avantindietro fans of course, I would've copped fen's boots had the money come in on time

Even maurizio altieri himself told stephen in person that the avant footwears sometimes look more beautiful as a display object, than being worn.

thanks for the opinions guys, I think I'll just cop the boots as they so both lend themselves to an outfit in a similar way and I'd choose boots over sneakers any day haha.

Yeah I agree that they're too similar and the boots is the better choice of the two. I agree with Nick that sneakers look like they would be very comfortable though. The boots just look nicer...

actually you'd be surprised how comfortable boots are if they fit you correctly, I walked around all day every day for over a week in tokyo and kyoto in my tall engineers and they were perfectly comfortable.
