from the last few days

was raining so my best friend and i decided to go out to our favorite trails to ride through the mud. weve lived next door to eachother since I was born, and for the last 18 years we've loved to get all muddy haha

so i threw on an old longsleeve, my beater nikes, and a sweater with my Crate vs Farinellis jeans

my weapon of choice... Redline Monocog 29er. love it

rained more and got pretty dark on the way there

by the time we got here it was pretty dark. the trails are all windy singletrack that goes down to the river, and at spots its pretty dangers (6" of track next to a 10ft drop into the water) but we braved conditions for a quick 45 minute ride. no pics of that 'cause it was like a filming session of 2fast2furious

came home dirty, took a shower, made a cheesesteak for dinner

the next day i woke up and played with my dog a little bit

when i got home a friend of mine had an interesting proposition...

being the handyman i am i whipped this up as it is best out of a bong and we just had pipes and papers

proceeded to trip balls. i had never done salvia and i was freakin out for a minute or two... it was super cool though

went skateboarding/biking, now playing mass effect, about to join me in bed for a nap before work. landed probably my smoothest kickflip ever down 8 stairs, it was videoworthy.

yeah man im from Manteca. the arena is nice, the hockey games are fun and the indoor soccer games are pretty cool too if you like that. i wanna go see one of the arena football games

Every Sunday morning my family in Ottawa goes for Dim Sum. It's been a non stop blizzard for days.

Place has a strange name. They love us though.

Crazy amount of snow, headmut and farmer

Today my jeans took the dogs to the park

Not my dog, just a local stray. But check the tail - it's been dyed yellow

But first, a homemade recovery burger. Bacon fixes everything!

Then off to see the wedding planner for a few hours. Who knew weddings could be so tedious? At least their office was dog-friendly

Driving in Shanghai traffic requires balls of steel. A lot of first time drivers in their new cars, thanks to the Chinese government's stimulus package - you can see the guy in the Ford Focus on the right hasn't even got his license plate yet. And check the taxi driver merging lanes without indicating.

Took them to the local park to see their buddies. This sign is amazing, it's the Chinese characters for "butterfly bay" but so stylized it looks like a model of a miniature city

Came across a little shop selling nothing but hand made rocking horses

Having a smoke and enjoying the view from my balcony. Sand barges chugging up river as the sun goes down. Suzhou creek used to be black with industrial pollution until about 10 years ago. The Govt's done a good job of cleaning up the water ways. "Butterfly bay" is still a bit of a stretch though!

Yummy Shanghainese dinner. Steamed crabs, jellyfish, fried dumplings, fish, chicken fingers & fresh bamboo shoots & veggies. Washed down with some Heine. Nice way to end the day.
