What are your jeans doing today?

You are welcome Zissou. Melbourne is a very stylish city, at least to me it is. I spotted many well dressed people. Generally speaking, business women here are dressed very well - a light weight trench, tailored suit, vintage jewl, silk scarf, killer high heel - chic~ i am guessing that there must be some good tailors in this city.

Awesome pics kaysmash! The second photo almost looks like you're outside of the atmosphere haha rep+

But how are you going to top skydiving?

Yeah, grillled in QV. Burger monster? Ok, i will try to find it ;)

After seeing so many well dressed men/women on Collin st. I decided to do some research about tailored clothes. And that would be my next year's mission? Let's see. I will visit Herringbone the last day and spend the rest of budget there. might be zero... hah, no.1 priority is food :)

After a few days of rewiring a demolished room, which included several army crawls through the attic, my jeans were a grey shade of brown. On one of those trips up there, I managed to have a massive crotch blowout. Before a good wash, some repair was in order... not without a little Cool Hand Luke on the laptop.

A little striped chambray reinforcement should help.

4135252862_8f90780620_o.jpg

That should hold.

4134492107_c9175a1640_o.jpg

Now get in the bath with yeh! And don't come out for at least two hours!

My, you were dirty. Now go rise off and hang up for the night.

My first day back in Texas since August was pretty great, I even had some time to try to save an old pair of Red Wings that my dad used to wear when I was a little kid.

woke up and made some breakfast. Eggs, Vegetarian sausage, Crystal hot sauce, mini wheat cheddar biscuits, black berries and strawberries, coffee.

Had a phone interview for an internship over christmas, but afterwards, I started on my RW project.

They were in pretty bad shape:

Pre-oilpics.jpg

I put some boot oil on 'em, but they soaked it up too fast.

I went out to eat with some friends, an got my hair cut. after wards, I came home and put some mink oil on the Rws.

In the end, I think the ended up ok:

After dinner, I decided to make a dirty martini. They always taste better at home cause I get to use Dripping Spring Vodka, made in Texas, not available in BAMA:(

The end result is always the best.

Head hurts today. Celebration after news that a long-overdue cheque is here. Bunged up head inspired thoughts of indigo.

Here is the bible on the subject:

IMG_0421.jpg

Contains information on indigo going back to ancient times, when of course British and French warriors would daub themselves with it before going off to burn down Roman towns. This illustration dates back to the 1720s:

IMG_0422.jpg

I had another use in mind. Couldn't find a mention of it in Jenny Balfour Paul's book.

IMG_0428.jpg

A present from a SuFu guru. Thanks, J! Recommended for staving off flu etc.

IMG_0430.jpg

Hard to analyse the taste; it smells almost like vegetable stock, the taste is much cleaner and fresher, maybe over-sweetened.

The result: two hours later, head is clear! Indigo IS good for you.

Oh yes, and the obligatory denim shot. SFAs, dyed with a relative. Currently in their fluffy stage...
