Well since evolution is a continuous process, you can't really argue that you require each tiny step along the way. I imagine most creationists might say they want to see a version of Ida with a little bit smaller tail...and smaller...and smaller until it falls off. So you need to give way to to a discrete chain.

Also, they're not just using bone structure to make the link, but also DNA in the hair folicles, etc. So that also makes a connection.
