Clothing for The Great Outdoors

Considering it's one of three class 5 jackets when you ebay "class 5", I'm not sure you're blowing it up :o.

Pretty ridiculous starting bid though, I agree.

I actually JUST won that same anorak. 2 weeks ago. I'm happy. If you're over 6'1"...do NOT buy a small. I don't care how gay you like to dress...that shit'll be young as a muhfucka on you. I have a medium and it fits perfectly...I could even do a large and it wouldn't look sloppy.

I am happy.

Why is there such love for the 60/40 fabric?

In my experience, 60/40 is comfortable to wear in nice weather--breathes well, but stays warm--however, in the rain and heavy rain it's plain miserable. It just gets wet, heavy, and cold.

So yeah, why the love in the outdoors community? I mean I have an old J Crew 60/40, Class 5, and some other random pieces that just don't seem like good for protection outside.

i really like my 60/40 parka, its good enough for light rain but anything heavier im gonna have to use an umbrella anyways... its relatively cheap too but honestly, ever since DQMXCDW came out its been very popular i've noticed..

  • 2 weeks later...

We had some really cold weather this weekend, high on Saturday was 8* and I found myself in need of something warmer then my Filson Mackinaw cruiser. Stopped by Context and picked up this Fjallraven Cantwell jacket. It's incredibly warm and is working well in this cold weather. Not as stylish as my Filson or Barbour but functionally it's perfect for those super cold days.
