45rpm

45 rpm does make black sorahikos, which is why they may look that way. It depends. They could also just be a heavy dye, which will lighten over time. Some of the older jeans do not have the offset beltloop as you mention.

You can buy 45 rpm jeans at the 45 rpm shops. They're spread fairly well around the major japanese cities and of course concentrated in tokyo. Prices are definitely cheaper in Japan compared to the US. An English language shop list can be found here: http://www.45rpm.jp/shop/cms/contents.aspx?id=17&Language=English.

If possible, I'd recommend visiting the flagship in Aoyama. If you're going to shell out the money, you might as well have the full experience. They've got a cafe too which looks good.

thanks guys for helping :) . does sorahikos old series doesn't have offset beltloop like newer sorahikos? and one more question, why my sorahikos looks like black denim? but based from the tag, they said this product is dyed with indigo

agreed about the tag -- definitely points to older Sorahiko, but also another clue is the measurement. Newest 2 versions have been considerably slimmer than the older ones.

^indeed...people just aren't putting the time in to break these toughies...my one regret while on my recent japan trip was not picking up a pair (been putting off the task for years until i went back bc of exchange rates etc. but ended up buying evisu's lol)

It's a crime against humanity that this thread is so dead.

Indeed. More talk about the clothing, dammit!

In reality...I just want to know where I can get more more more of it for cheap cheap cheap.

Shit is like the worst drug i've ever known (next to fifa). Gotta chase that indigo dragon all day long...

niiice p-up!

'hope you keep 'em up :)

mosdef need committment..... a loooong one.

I should have gotten them at the beginning of summer because it was way too hot for anything but light weight denim. I could have put more work in them instead of focusing so much wasted energy and time on the epic-fail Suminando Sorahikos (which unless something miraculously happens in the future, are basically just black denim and I'm not into black denim)

Anybody see the shirts arriving for the fall season? Was there last week and only saw one flannel shirt for an obscene $450.

Have not seen these "black" Sorahikos ever again. (Putting "black" in quotations to emphasize my sarcastic bitterness at being sold black jeans when I was originally told they were indigo overdyed with charcoal) The only non-traditional blue indigo dye I've seen this season is a natural indigo dyed pair on a slightly tapered Sorahiko cut.

Wouldn't trust this dude... He's stealing pics and claiming them as his own in other threads. Jeans are probably either nonexistent or stolen.

anyone interested in this exact pair of umii-908s? sz 28, still brand new. it's 800 at retail, but i can cut a 50% off deal, if not more.

^^ Best bet is the flagship shop and the others scattered around aoyama (umii, ai indigo, etc.). They all have different, generally fairly small selections. Timing is important, since like other Japanese brands they release the collection periodically throughout the season. Aoyama is fun to visit anyway and there are a fair number of other very good stores scattered throughout the backstreets there.

Sorry to be hawking my wares, but there are only small cliques of people who appreciate 45rpm and this is one of them.

I've got a beautiful jacket for sale on eBay. Purchased from Anthem in London less than three months ago, its barely been worn (too big). I got it half price and it was twice what I'm asking here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=281027710114

Happy to do a Superfuture deal if anyone's interested.

Thanks.

Fujimon - Nora x Charcoal O/W [10th Anniversary: r by 45RPM]:: TTS @W33 :: the cut silhouette is comparable to cut/model 1953, eg, Fullcount 0105 with a mid-rise.

Fujimon utilized hand-picked Suvin; an extra long staple cotton known to be the finest in the world. Naturally dyed in Aizome followed by the addition of a natural charcoal dye. It has an increased bumpy and handmade texture made by working the shuttle loom even slower than with the new Jomon.

Current measurements: w= 33.5, ins= 32, f/r= 10.5, b/r= 15.5, u/t= 12.5, kne= 9.5, l/o= 8.5
