DP - Has gordon said anything else about the SDAs?

I did also did vote for the SDAs first...but with this new FC info..i am reconsidering.

We need more details on the SDAs. then we can have a final poll between the FCs and the SDAs.

Gordon was going to talk to SDA but he decided not to so that he doesn't need to get into negotiations with both and then have choose one over the other in the end.

FC will be customized, SDA won't.

The Lee Edwin repros are the most authentic reproductions out there of the classic full cut, high rise work wear denim. The low rise cut workwear jeans like Stronghold, Fullcount, some LVC and Sugarcane are modern compromises. I guess this is a moot point since Lee's aren't even listed in the poll. Too bad.

Yeah, I actually like many of these more than I do some of the other brand's Leepros (with the exception of the Samurai 110xj which I already own).

Although I'm open to other Leepros I haven't seen any that really distinguish themselves in a unique enough way to stand out as the best choice for a contest. I mean, the pants have to be interesting enough to keep everyone in them for a year or whatever, and I don't see that in the SC45s for example.

I am disappointed to hear that. We might as well move forward with the FCs.

One thing that I am concerned about are the sizes. I believe that most people who are in this contestants are more on the heavy side than most of SuFu. I see that that they only go up to size 36. Perhaps we can eliminate size 28 and 29 all together? I don0't want to get ahead of myself. We will have to see what Gordon will be able to do.

Was there a mention of a prize or not?

Bears lists size 38 and 40. BiG must just not carry them. However, based on Bears measurements I'd probably be a 29, so I'd prefer if there were smaller sizes too.

What is the point of ruling people out? I really don't see what's the point in that whatsoever...if you could honestly tell me what you were thinking or trying to implement, I am curious to find out.

I'm really surprised at how many people are choosing the SC47s. I already have two pairs so if that jean wins I'll be very disappointed.

I was thinking about patch ideas for the FC 0105s. Since it's a 1953 model I think we should have something that is significant about that year on the patch. There were some Chevy and Ford trucks and the Harley Davidson Panhead from that year looked really nice. I know that Ironheart has a motorcycle on their patch but we could have it facing a different way or in motion with a dust cloud behind it with Marlon Brando at the helm. I don't know, just an idea.

That all depends on if FC is into classic automobiles/motorcycles. Just waiting on an update from Gordon.

I like the sound of trucks. Those 40's and 50's American trucks are fucking great. Is there a particular famous model or something?

Maybe having motorcycle/s would be a bit too similar to ironheart whatever the scenario...?

If Fullcount, I hope we can get some kind of arcs on the back pockets. I understand the FC arcs are out of the question if we order from Gordon but Im a bit tired of plain back pockets...Anyway, it wont keep me from entering into this contest

It would be cool to have the whole patch be the front end of a 53 truck, with the car logo and plates changed to say fullcount/sufu whatever.

or maybe 2 old 53 trucks profiled pulling apart *something*

Gordon had an idea about the arcs that he's going to pitch to FC. Instead of stitched on arcs we'll get cardboard with arcs cut out so then we can paint them on ourselves. Kind of like the 44 Levis. I think Buzz Rickson does this for a pair of their jeans as well.

I wouldn't mind using a hot rod truck either. I mean it will be green ink but something slammed to the ground would be sweet.

The front end idea is cool. My photoshop skills suck so I won't be able to mock anything up.

the steam locomotive have that arc idea too, there was a pic in that thread. Of corse eddie has a pair. Front end of the chevy please! I really like the split screen types.

I don't think we have a provider for SC anymore. The first guy hasn't responded to me and I am not sure if Kiya will pitch in anymore.

That's a really good idea for the arcs, I was thinking about doing that to my sams w/ spray paint.

Bad idea to use spray paint... use acrylic paint plus a fabric medium or fabric paint. Spray paint has all kinds of corrosive and nasty chemicals that could/will fuck your jeans up

It looks good to me. It looks slightly odd to only have a mirror on one side of the truck; you might want to just delete the mirror on the "Blue in Green" side. Just a thought.

That's actually pretty common for cars/trucks back then. I didnt have sideview mirrors on the passenger side on my VW Bug earlier.

one thing that a lot of people seem to have forgotten is....what is this new denim that FC is gonna be using like? we have no info on it at all. we dont even know what it looks like!

i really do wish that gordon would get into talks with SDA. it would AT LEAST give us a second option.
