what we should've done was if you were interested, just reply with your name and then whoever replied after that person has to copy that name and write their own name on it as well, forming a list. like a snowballing effect, a "snowball list". hopefully the design hasn't stoppped yet, i would like to contribute as well.

here are my takes on the ARCS + PATCH DESIGN. But before you guys start critizing on how similar it looks to other jeans, believe me, it was not my intention. I was doodling and wanted to find something that can be somewhat representative of San Francisco, my dearly beloved city. And so while I was doodling, I thought of a good idea to do an abstract version of the Golden Gate bridge. However, when I was finalizing the design on Illustrator, I happened to pump into Edwin jeans and realized that the 2nd column arcs was just edwin jeans, but UPSIDE Down :confused: ! so much for all that effort, but anyways, that's the explaination of how the arcs became to be, an abstraction of the golden gate bridge. The red color, of course, is the color of the bridge

So looking at the some of the designs that have been made, which I must say, nice awesome work to all the leather patch design. I wish I can design as good as you guys on illustrator + photoshop since I am still a NOOB on the computer! So right now, all the colors and fonts are just temporary(i have always had a problem with coloring). They are NOT the final designs, but simple mock ups to generate ideas of where I am going with the design. Of course, suggestions + critizism are highly welcomed since I am use to it.

For the patch design, like many of the designers did already, I wanted to find a tie with Japan and San Francisco, but also incorporate Dry Bones since they are going to be our jeans(is that finalized?) And so taking a suggestion of one of the members of having the side view of the Golden Gate Bridge instead of a perspective view like Jimmy C's, I made it so that instead of looking outside INTO the bay, you are looking from INSIDE, OUT to the direction of where Japan is, thus the Rising sun. THERE IS STILL ALOT TO FINISH, adding self edge, dry bones, and superfuture into the patch

If I recall correctly one Sufu member said how about "a bridge and something something pulling some jeans?", so the next column designs will be along those ideas but instead the two birds from Dry bones pulling some jeans apart LOL!

I would like to join in this denim contest but I'm also waiting for the eventually Evisu 2009 contest next year, so it will be probably too much for me now. Otherwise I would have the possibility to rotate between 2 pants.

I don't have the time to go through the whole thread, just my late opinion: I'm very interested in a Flathead, Imperial, ALD or Edwin Ed-47 concrete contest. They have an unbelievable super great fading potential too, what I have seen so far.
