Hi Sole. Here you go.

1947 501XX size 32x34, soaked in cold water for 4 hours and hung dry. I wear a size 30X30 in Levi's generally... so it shrunk down to about my size.

This is a Japanese LVC pair though, I've found that the shrinking tends to be more dramatic than the european or american ones, and the leather fading is much more dramatic and beautiful. Hope this helps.

1947 are the classic slim cut. I haven't tried the repros myself, but historically the '60s version were also a skinny cut - more of a drainpipe. I think I've found the pattern maker for LVC for another project I'm working on, and it will be interesting to get her take on the different shapes.

Does anyone know if all the LVC for the Japanese market are made in japan, or just some? The LVC I saw this spring in the UK were Japanese, but the fall jeans, as stocked in the UK, all seem to be American-made.

Here you go sole et el.

I think this is a better picture of how they will fit. The jeans ARE fairly snug on me as i am a bit on the short rotund leggy side.. that's why i got a size 32, 2 sizes up. i'm sure if you got just one size up, it will shrink but will stretch out to a normal size. you get?

alright.

compared to the 1944 or the 37 cinch backs, these are MUCH tighter. i have posted pics of me in the 1944 501's same 32X34 for comparison.
