So i want to further my study on type. Im not talking going back for grad school, but is there anywhere online with type theory, online course work, ect... ?
i need to go more deep into fonts too,http://aymerikmd.comive change my website font to this, i dont even remember what font is it, any idea ?
its your website tho...i asked your website and it said it was using Inconsolata.
I only use a few fonts in order to keep a certain identity throughout my work for brands.
For example, I only use 1 to 2 fonts max for each clothing brand I work for.
My current list is :
Miller Banner Light
Favs atm (in no particular order):
Neue Haas Grotesk
Adobe Garamond Pro
Any feedback on my usage of Trajan pro bold (.25 stroke added) on this logo application?
Logo is for my wifes jewelry label.
Also open to suggestions on roman leaning serifs.
I really love the Acne Studios typeface.. and more minimal ones like it.
People really need to keep it classic, stop all that extra shit.
Can anyone ID this font, or suggest a similar pointy serif one?
Any ideas on this one?
This is so cool. If one was to get more in depth into typography where should I start? Is there any books I can purchase?
The elements of typographic style
Can someone help me with the list of effects that are done to the "champions" can't really find anything on how to achieve the shadowing
emboss: chisel hard
anyone have any favourite serif fonts they'd like to share? kinda getting bored of the ultra minimal san serifs i've been using (i still like them).
Larish and ITC Grouch are some of my current favorites.
where do you guys get your fonts? usually pay for them?
like some people's suggestions but cant find them for free.
Find a nice font you want and use it on a clients work and get them to pay for it.
ic. unfortunately i don't work in an industry like that.
https://www.thedesignersfoundry.com was a starting point for me, on the cheaper side of things and they sell some nice fonts, typekit has a lot of fonts if you have an adobe subscription
