Best Non-SLR digital camera

I just bought a GF1 today, wow it far exceeded my exceptions. Its not a replacement for my DSLR but this camera is almost as good and i can take this anywhere. Leica M series are nice but not worth the money.

Gf1 +20mm 1.7 is the perfect everyday cam.

keep in mind, the new dlux is just a rebranded lx5. given panasonic manufactures all of leica's shit now, it's essentially a lx5 without a grip, a shiny red leica logo and a jacked up price for the exact same fucking hardware.

I gotta say that I'm extremely pleased with the Sony nex. It's got some flaws in the OS but most of them shd be fixed in the upcoming firmware update. Picture quality is superb, and it's got a good sensor (aps-c). I've got a cv nokton 35 lens on it that works well for me. And the biggest thing is that it's so damn portable that I actually carry it with me everywhere (try that with a dslr). So i use it way more than I ever did with my previous cams. Highly recommended.

Cute camera but the fixed focal length which is equivalent to 35mm is way to wide for everyday photography IMO. 50mm would be perfect.

Ive had an s90 for a while and its been awesome.. the updated specs on the s95 sound decent (would love hd vid with stereo sound on mine).. id say go for it.

i just got an s95 a few weeks ago. pretty damn good for a point and shoot, pocketable is a major plus. g12 is too big to be handy all the time.
