or how about someone based on this actual real life story: Actor John Lone of The Last Emperor fame, who is past his glory days acting in epics, was recently found by the razzi buying a roast meat rice box, sat RIGHT OUTSIDE the public bathroom with his dog while man and beast shared the food...he was staring at the entrance for 3 hours, pacing around smoking cigarettes, everytime someone came out he looked up but at the end he went home, no dice.

Try to find a couple pics from that tabloid story and you can construct a pretty nice 5 page short story out of it i reckon. A lot of internal conflict and turmoil.

Ftb2- You ever read Bukowski novels? Interesting semi-autobiographical novels that are kind of like what you're talking about. Hank Chinaski goes from city to city, girl to girl, job to job, dogtrack to dogtrack. Some moments are pretty racy and almost read like porn but all good stuff. The bar/restaurants in boston named after him are pretty decent too. Giant beer selection and surprisingly good food. I'd assume yours would be a more stylish piece as bukowski was a grimey fucker.
