Warehouse Denim Contest [pics and discussion]

Ok guys. I think I know what to do with my jeans now. I'm gonna go to the beach and salt/sea water soak them.

Anyone wanna give me reasons why I shouldn't? Otherwise I'm gonna do that. Stand in sea water for like an hour. Then run around the beach in the sun until its dry.

I'm doing this because, the problem with my jeans are that they are TOO long, and I don't know anywhere in New Zealand that does chain stitching and would prefer it not to be hem'd. I don't really want to sit in a HOT HOT BOILING HOT bath tub with them on so I guess I'll give sea water a go?

It would probably be the same as sitting in the bath for an hour? Only more fun?

Would my rivots end up getting rusty from the salt?

Anything I should lookout for etc?

All help appreciated ^__^

I hate how everysingle time I post in this thread my post is RIGHT at the bottom.. and only a few people actually see/reply to it ><

they will stink, and probably wont shrink as much compared to a hot bath.

I understand a hot soak would yield more shrinkage...

but IF the waist shrinks anymore I probably won't fit them >< I'm scared that a bar won't hold or something silly like that ><

The waist will stretch back out after wearing them... Just do the hot soak.

but what if I CAN'T wear them.. thats the thing.. they' fit pretty tight at the waist.. pretty much perfect.. anymore tighter I would have a problem fitting them on. and that's what I'm scared of ><

they're size 30. and I'm like 35" waist.

I agree with cheep. You should trade up on the size. I think many people will be realizing they need a smaller size. Go for a 32, so that at end of shrinkage they will be where your jeans are now.

call BiG and tell them that your size is too small. you can mostlikely trade them for a bigger size since a lot of people are wanting to size down.
