depends what you are into, and what you have seen in London before, if anything.

If you haven't seen much of anything, then jump on one of the open top bus tours (maybe a bit cold) and see most of the main sites (well, at least drive past them) in a couple of hours.

The second hand bookshops off Charing Cross Road are interesting for a poke around ...

60 hours in London.

Name 2 things i should not miss.

spitalfields market (sunday), rough trade records (truman brewery off brick lane)

then son of a stag (opposite rough trade) and check out rudy's 3 union specials lol!

btw i've been shopping at rough trade since 1982 and despite what readytoignite says, the brick lane store is excellent.. tho neals yard did suck.....

re: rough trade it depends on what you want from a record store... do you want a local place that consistently stocks new releases from new artists? or do you want a record store you can dig in and/or find stuff you can't get anywhere else?

rough trade is the former... while it's great for the natives, if i'm going to london i'd rather be digging or getting dance white labels, not buying CDs that other music and a half dozen US mailorder places carry. also, kiya happens to live in the same metropolitan area as two of the best record stores in the world.

Went to The Owl and Pussycat on Redchurch Street, got a quick munch on at the Beigel Bake, hit The Ten Bells on Commercial Street for a pint, then down to The Tea building for Food at Pizza East.

Haven't down been to Scooterworks since Fifi left ....

I used to know a girl who lived opposite the owl and pussycat, now here building is levelled. I used to quite like the redchurch bar about 4-5 years ago but haven't been in ages.

The Ten Bells is an old favorite, my grandfather and great-grandfather before him used to drink there.

Glad you showed Kiya some good spots.

How is your scooter? Mine is now for sale.....

Ok, just got back from Boston Arms..

Fuck every record store in the world, it's all about Sounds that Swing in Camden Town.

Seriously probably the only remaining store of it's kind in the world.

For the record (no pun) i thought Rough Trade was a nice shop, though definitely didn't look like the type of place you'd go to find a hidden jem or a record you'd been searching for.

I'm on the Greyhound bus to Portsmouth now, fuck yeah wifi on a bus.
