i filled my bath tub with very hot water, a bottle of vinigar and a ton of salt and let them sit for about a hour. After that put them in the washer on hot/warm for a hour and fifteen.

pop quiz

choose from the following answers:

A) from playing tennis in jeans?

B) sandpaper?

C) 7 months and one wash is in fact quite adequate 'to look good?'

D) they don't actually look good?

E) all of the above.

im gonna be nice and say A, C... they dont look bad but theyre not great either. but considering theyre APC's, ive seen much much much better wear on people after 4 months, so not impressed at all.

and poly, those are seriously the nicest BK's ive seen in awhile. awesome.

Wow, Poly those Sammies really have faded nicely. I haven't really broken into mine yet. But it seems the S5000bk will fade quickly, since I have long hem, I creased them sometimes whilst walking and you can see the fades.

I'm working on my Ironhearts atm so don't get time to wear my sammies.

oh wow.

the dirt honey combs are very nice.

a wash would ruin them, but they look really interesting as is.

There's this guy in Brighton who works on furniture outside of his shop most days... he has the most insane honeycombs on his work jeans, caked with sawdust and resin with blue denim peeking out of the troughs of the combs.

My first pair of raw denim ever.

They were flare glenn's that were tapered a bit at the opening.

These were originally bought in dec 2004 and were not washed until oct 2006. I have not worn them in about a year because now I have too many other jeans and don't have time for these in my rotation.

The fading process was very slow as you will see form the pictures(or atleast in my opinion. My APC NS faded more quickly in one year than my flare glenns in almost 2 years.

Here are the pics:

Here are some whiskers

The honeycombs never really faded. What you see are just the creases from almost 2 years of wear.

Needed major crotch repair at about 1.5 years

Not much going on at the back pockets

Let me know what you guys think!

Dior selvedge, 13 months. The train tracks are there but since the denim is light and didn't shrink, no real crazy ribbon effect... Indigo fell quickly but they stayed pretty dark overall...

do diors where out fast? is it possible to keep the same pair over a lifetime without heavy use (ie: no skating, rough work, or any those shenanigans)? the reason why i ask is cause im thinking about getting another just in case pair in case kva randomly phases them out. if my current pair will last me a very long while, i dont have to drop another 360 on a new pair.

theyre still jeans, wearing them without doing anything crazy in them wont make them fall to pieces. i have a pair that i wear on occasion, mostly dressier kinda stuff, theyre not the slightest bit worn, if thats what youre asking.. im not exactly sure though

i'll take a perfect fit over train tracks any day

just me

those look incredible regardless

dismal, is that solid wear?

how many washes?

in case kva randomly phases them out.

i wish we could get a straight answer on this

i've heard they're not going anywhere, but i've also heard we shouldn't be so sure about that

then again, if we're talking about a couple seasons from now i guess no one can be certain
