euro/japan red wing models coming to the USA this fall...

a few weeks back i'd inquired about the red wing 1908 model, and why the effff us americans can't get them. after some back/forth w/ a customer rep at red wing, i received this message:

Hi Jason – Thanks for the note. This fall we (the US Market) are coming out with a series of boots which you can view on our website redwingcasuals.com after August 1st. The 11styles we are making available domestically (all manufactured here in the USA) are the top 11 styles internationally in both Europe and Asia. We don’t have the1908, but we do have many similar looks in different leathers – they are the 9011 and 9014.

These will be available after Sept 1st at select stores including Zappos.com where you can order them online.

she didn't mention the 1911, just the two models i listed (both which i've never heard of). i guess we'll have to wait until august 1st.

I was just about to ask about getting Euro models over here. That is pretty nice. I too am interested in the 1911 model. But also in a crepe sole model. Thanks for the info.
