Toronto Salons / Hairstylist (asian)

Soooo apparently my hairstylist who has been doing my hair for the last 3 years has moved back to Hong Kong/Japan. Any one have recommendations as to other places? I've always felt intimidated to go try new places in fear that they'll fuck up my hair.

Oh, and scissors only. None of that razor/buzzer shit touches my hair. Length at the moment is medium-short, planning on maintaining it up to medium-long in length.

Name places you swear by to.

Forget those overpriced places like Spellbound that charge ridiculous for "Director" cuts.

Pmall? Any description of the styles of cuts he does? I've always assumed that hairstylists at Pmall are mediocre from what I see walking by them. Some insights on this would be good.

Well where did you used to get your hair cut? And for how much?

I've been going to my stylist for more than 3 years, going through long hair, spikes, textures and scuplted, razor lines, faux-hawk, asian mullet, etc. He isn't young so he's not one of those young stylists who don't care about their own rep but he's very flexible and versatile.

I went to Spellbound and was with Cara. $32. Very decent for her quality cuts.

yeah you need someone to fix your hair up so dont look like a broom....

Nhi at Vidal Sassoon does a good job (i believe she's vietnamese). Got my 2nd most recent haircut there and while it wasn't as good as the one I just got here in Hong Kong, it's better than anything i figure i can find in Toronto.
