they should use the same cut too... heritage fits arent that good

From my what I've been reading, they're changing most of their core fits, and going for a slimmer aesthetic. But, it is good to hear that you guys are still getting your jeans and a book.

the patch ok...but it wouldn't be to hard to paint/print the 13

I don't believe they're going for an exact replica.

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to check in. Thanks for bearing with us.

First of all, sorry your jeans are taking so long. Although the 2000

is a core style that is usually available, we occasionally experience

delays getting the jeans. It's taken us between 6 weeks and 6 months

to get the style; which happened with Blue & Green last year.

Hopefully you all have jeans and can hold tight, but if not, I can

offer you are Tateoti book instead on the jeans. If you're now only

wearing leggings or cords, I guess email me too.

Your DD+1's are safe and well. After they arrived back to me via Miz,

they sat on a shelf above my desk. Those combined with a mixture of

other worn jeans, including my own, produced quite an aroma. After

airing out, they served as a tapestry inside Scott's office, our CEO.

Scott lines the his walls with jeans and skateboards.

About a month ago, our denim design director sent them off to the

laundry. I've attached some pictures of the actual jean and the first

replica prototype. This prototype is a created using all hand

processes. Most of the problems, the biggest being color, were caused

by different fabric on the proto. In addition, the fabric also caused

some minor problems with crosshatching, marbling, roping, and leg

twist. One of the problems not caused by the fabric is some over-

sanding on the legs. In the next prototype, the fabric will be

matched in order to eliminate the problems on this jean.

yeah i'm not sure who the DD+1 wash is supposed to appeal to

i can't see anyone on this board buying it as supergays are raw fetishists

and the people that buy distressed jeans likely won't know or care about supergays

the best homage to the project would be raw jeans with the original paint job so that everyone can play along at home

addendum: OK well it IS interesting to see how they are replicating our results at the laundry and the whole idea does give me the warm fuzzies and yeah this would probably to be the only pre-distressed jean (gosh i realize i don't have the vocabulary to talk about anything other than raw jeans) that i would wear (out of nostalgia)

Wow this shit is pretty cool. The predistressed one looks very close to the actual pair. But the dirtiness of the real pair is much more appealing. I wonder if they are going to try to reproduce the stench as well.

well done predistressed but they probably will look like shit when worn, cause fades don't follow the creases and it looks ridicolous (like all predistressed jeans) so why did they waste time and money to do that?

And in my opinion, it's wrong on principle.

I mean, it's evisu not diesel...

does anyone in the US do the hand painting? like maybe BiG or the evisu store?

Not as far as i know. There are special events every now and again however these aren't very often.

If your super desperate for them you can send them to me in London and ill take them to the Evisu store here to be painted though i expect thats abit too much effort for you. :-)
