What is this? Weird vintage denim w/ pics

I picked up these in a thrift store today. They´re very cool. Not really my size ( too big and short), but hopefully they´ll work..

Very heavy denim-ish material. Its darker on the inside than outside. Red selvage on felled outseam. Im thinking something military, but very unsure.

Anyone got ideas what these are and maybe how old? when did narrow looms become unfashionable in Europe (if these are Europe made)

I think those are from the Danish army? Someone on here sold jackets that looked similar and they were from the dk army.

Yea, that sounds reasonble. But what about the selvage? were those jackets selvage aswell?

yup, they were selvedge and I think it looked the same as that of your pants. You could probably find the pics on here with some creative use of the search engine.

Couldn´t get the old pics to work though, but what I can telll from the tumbnails it looks like the pants might be from the same uniform. Buttons looks the same atleast.

They look a lot like Engineered Garment's Norwegian army short (except in pant form, duh). So yeah, my guess is that they're originally form the army. Cool find!

Maybe some of the denim historians, or anyone else, have some input on when narrow looms stopped being used in europe? (and where are they now?) How old might the pants be?
