The caps definitely have the best new jerseys in the league, new colours also mean that Ovechkin can wear his russian gear for the season too. Hopefully they make the playoffs this year.

Honeslty, I think Steve Downie is a bitch. Hes from Windsor, and I've seen him get his ass beat before downtown. He's a little cunt. Just what the NHL does not need, a no talent bum whos running guys in pre-season fucking hockey. Im not saying it was this dirty hit that deserves a season long suspension. It was boarding yes, he did jump, yes but it was all shoulder at the end of the day. Anyone remember all the controversy about Steve Downie on the Spitfires? Anyone remembers that video of him getting his ass beat by Akim Aliu in practice?

I would be very surprised if he makes the team, especially after this. He is extremely lucky that McAmmond wasn't severely injured on the play - not that having your third concussion in four years isn't severe enough. I hope that the league will use this situation to show they are serious about taking headshots out of the game, which means coming down hard on Downie. I say this as a longtime supporter of our Juniors, not just to bash Downie. I saw him play here in Vancouver at the 2006 World Junior Finals and liked the way he played. He may have just killed his chances at playing in the NHL. At least he won't have to face up to McGratton anytime soon.

Im not going to lie, basically all my proline tickets this season ive won came based on vancouver losses, they're just awful. Luongos goals against is suffering badly due to the canuks awful defence.

but we are still doing extremely well, much better than most people anticipated. but on the other hand, we've had a bad habit of being awesome in the beggining of the season and then crashing and the later part. hope that doesn't happen this year...

Im another non montreal fan who absolutely loves the Canadians. The city/the people make the team what is it. The Bell Centre just flows with Molson Export and fans screaming shit in a language I don't understand. People from Montreal LOVE their habs in the same manner as the people of TO love their leafs, but minus all the detrimental expectations.

Kerry Price is a must though, Huet looks just absolutely awful out there. (Alexi Kovalev has been lookin' like a young Sergei Fedorov in his prime lately)
