Ignore the blue tint, Dark Dancers in a 33, tts, 1.5 years. U MAD just made me realize how much lighter they've got over time, but they're doing it beautifully.

cross post from evolution thread -- calis about 10 months, contrast and brightness are true to form but the blue got enhanced somehow in the pic, in real life, all of the blue (light and dark areas) is a bit duller

FYI Although julian red has been left out from the scene for the past collection or two the designers has shifted their manufacturing plants to one of the world's top washing company who will be more punctual in terms of delivery and the quality has been much improved (not that they needed to be). I've seen the SS09 and they are incredible! Keep your eyes out for it!

mine were shipped out in october so im assuming they were the new ones. color wise i'd say that its a "newspaper black" its definitely not a faded black either.

quality wise i cant compare to higher premium denim but i'd have to say its worth the buy, specially if you can snag it at a sale price.

What's the rule for sizing on Calis? I measure a 30" where I wear my jeans, but I normally wear 28s (28 Cheap Mondays fit me a little bit tight, but I like it).

I'd like them to be quite slim.

Just received some Hobokens from them and the fitting is great! Got the Black Tarnish which resembles the Nudie Dry black coated and the quality of JR is far superior!

Raw stretches quite a wee bit, washed denim stays true to size in general.

Calis have slimmer legs, saggier ass, the overall fit is trimmer except for the grandpa butt which I think its sorta cool.

Does unwashed denim = raw denim?

I was looking at the Julian Red Hoboken Corrosion, and it is described as "unwashed denim". Does this mean it will fade?

ya it will fade but since its black its harder to fade.
