Korean Short Rib Taco

Marinated beef short ribs, with sesame sauteed spinach, bean sprouts, carrots, and shitake mushrooms, topped with Korean bbq sauce and nori, served in a corn tortilla.

Chinese Pork Slider

Braised pork, cured in Asian spices, with pickled cucumbers and green onions, topped with hoisin sauce and served in a steamed bun.

Fried Rice Balls

Chinese sausage, shrimp, chicken, bamboo shoots, mustard greens, and Japanese rice, breaded and deep fried. Served with curry and teriyaki aiolis.

today i made a modified sandwhich that my gf had showed me to make outta some stuff in the fridge.

butter up sourdough bread on one side of each slice.

cook the back bacon on a pan...

spread one side with pesto or this stuff here...

put the turkey on the pesto & the bread on the pan on low to med heat...

apply bacon back...

apply smoked fontana cheese...

apply tomatoes...

apply avocado...

apply pepperchini or banana peppers...

apply mayo to the other slice of bread opposite side of the butter...

put the sandwich on a plate...

and eat.

a few of my favorite plates from what was ultimately a 13 course lunch lasting a stately five hours

crisp bread, ox-eye daisy, aioli, nasturtium

Rubin turnip baked in salt, smoked yolk, sea vegetables and wild mustard

Seawater cured Kentish mackerel, orache, broccoli and warm elderflower honey

Crab and mallow cream, young squid and cucumber

Roasted brill, chicken salt, cockles and ruby chard

Cumbrian hogget, sweetbread, artichokes and chenopodiums

drank a delicious bottle of Jura, had a couple of glasses from a mag of '02 Bandol, plus a bunch of other things we were bought to try and comped. Best of London's important recent openings (Dinner, Pollen Street Social), though a few interesting things coming up. Hedone is a v exciting prospect. Big rec to those of you following this thread UK based (tweeds, rirawin?)

went to montreal (well, this was in joliette qc but i was mostly in mtl) and went to the only fast food place that matters, the one and only dic anns. minus the horrible poutine but when you can get a burger like this one who needs fries
