it was kind of a hassle to take pictures so i missed out on the bamboo prawns, fish soup, tofu and desserts... :o

I know what you mean man.

the first one's a local favorite of mine, and the rest of the pics were from a traditional feast at my neighbours' place today...

no dude! the authentic philly places all use cheez whiz, i'm sure of it.

This is the drill: You stand in line, inching toward the window. When you get there, speak your piece to the stone-faced counterman quickly, unless you want trouble from those behind you. If you say, ''Whiz, with,'' as you should, your sandwich will come with grilled onions and Cheez Whiz, the unabashedly orange processed goo made by Kraft Foods; for this purpose, if few others, it is absolutely ideal. White American cheese and provolone are much less satisfactory options. ''Without,'' meaning ''hold the onions,'' sounds subversive to me.

man, respect for Azn80i. i can imagine how spicy the challenge ramen is just from having their standard #4 stuff. although, i have to say there was a big difference between my #4 miso and my gf's #4 shoyu. they might have made a mistake, but my gf's shoyu was much spicier than mine, and if that was a 4, i'd be in trouble with a 1.

speaking of my gf, what she made tonight:
