My Puerto Rican friends and other Hispanics consider themselves higher than Mexicans....Anglo-Saxon over Eastern European whites (who back in the immigration days of the US weren't even considered White!).

However, other races as a whole are more...united compared to Asians in America. Even though there's a hierachy the people collectively see themselves as Hispanic...White...Black...but Asians aren't like that.
