from modmyi you can pretty much find anything and there are really useful tutorials on there. if you add them in cydia as a source you can DL things without having the manually SSH them too...

Aside from the shitty buttons on the bottom of the G1 Mike its still not all the bad, esp for T-mobile.

I have the illuminated background on mine, the one that changes from night to day with the sun and the moon circling the screen. Sometimes I swap it out for the invisible apps one...

what are you talking about? the g1 has nothing on iphone. 20 bucks cheaper than the 8gb iphone and it comes with a 1gb sd card. the screen is smaller, the phone is thicker (and ugly) and it has less memory than iphone

really like the looks and sounds of alot of the 3rd party apps but i'm too chicken shit i'll do something wrong and it'll fuck up my phone.

May just wait till iPhone version 2.2 gets released ... apparently the Dev team's already jailbroken the beta version of it.

just jailbreak it. if you follow the steps in quickpwn or pwnage tool it should go smoothly. no bricking for me. i did it a few weeks back on 2.1 and i love being able to customize everything and the 3rd party apps. also, if you need to bring it to the apple store or something, just restore it to factory settings via itunes.

Restore from backup just means that it will restore your SMSs/General settings. Nothing is gonna get bricked since no software is updated/changed in the process.
