anyway. Pierrot Le Fou. Interesting film, I haven't really delved into much French new wave stuff before but this was quite good.

my friend was telling me about how the roles are reversed, like the nazi's (except for the SS) are humanized and the bastards are not always the traditional sort of protagonists. made me wonder why when I watched it in high school I just instinctively thought it was funny that the nazis were getting a taste of their own, maybe because in my mind I already saw them as the monolithic 'enemy'. I thought it was very tongue in cheek and clever the way it was done
