Alright, don't hate. Haven't watched a movie since my last post, who knows why? So, I pulled a triple feature today that somehow turned into a four film day...The last film though I won't even mention.

First two were musicals from my favorite Classical Hollywood director, Minnelli. The first one though is a little different than his other musicals. Not my favorite of his.

Meet Me in St. Louis, 1944:

The second one was much better, in my opinion. First off, anything with Gene Kelly is great. Second of all, there's a really crazy dream dance sequence. It's so much more entertaining when films play up their artificiality.

The Pirate, 1948:

Decided to watch the last Anderson film. Another movie that plays up its artificiality (obviously). If you ever get a chance to go through a director chronologically, I say do it. So rewarding.

First one was on tv today and I ended up watching the last half. It made me want to watch the second one.

i only watch it for the car chases. it is sad that with such a casting, the character appear soulless and the scenario was probably written by a 12 year old. but damn those car chases !!!

Yeah, I've been watching since the first episode. It's the only TV I'm watching right now. The pilot tried to cram way too much into one episode, but it's slowed down a bit and started to develop the secondary characters more. I really like it so far.
