Not like Tide or anything-- I always used some kind of special "denim detergent" that was really gentle. That Sugar Cane stuff, Fullcount for Denim Professional is all I used. Nothing too special.

I have to assume that you washed these a fair amount, because even last year at the end of the contest these were pretty pale. How did you keep the combs so consistent and bold?

been a few since i've weighed in with pics...these haven't been worn anywhere near as heavily as during the first year (been working on a pair of sugarcane hawaiis, a pair of mottainai's, my 21 oz. SDA's, diors, and a bunch of non-superdenim (drkshdws, luc, etc.))

edit: I'm going to take some natural sunlight pictures cause flash/colour combo with carpet made them look lighter than they are in the legs and rest...

To clarify, they were a pair for this specific contest, but the dude decided not to participate for whatever reason. Eventually, I recently traded for the pair from alleyooptroop, and it seems only correct that I post pictures here.

Good call beats. I just threw mine on for the first time in awhile. They reminded me how much weight I gained. I went from having a 27 in contest sammies to wearing a 32 in LVCs (and they should prolly be a 33).

those are the best jeans ever... i wish i was still as skinny as i was when i beat those up... the ones i have now that are sz 30 are too tight to wear that hard.
