it would be nice to be in the shop to try those on. sizing them over the phone is a real test. I normally wear a 38 and ended up with a 42! again the sales staff at MF are fantastic. the boxes they come in are over the top. beautiful.

its an unlined jean jacket. i imagine the jeans will come in around 250. so 300 for the jacket sounds about right. i got the rodeo blouse made of stripe twill and its very thin, could be a shirt almost.

Picked up the Ranch blouse in J13. I gave it a hot soak yesterday. No fit pic yet. The denim is still way to stiff. I'm probably gonna soak it again to get more shrinkage.

Jordan @ MF told me that the average size 38 is 22.5" raw and size 36 is 21.5" raw. I went with the 38 and figured I can shrink enough to be just right. I forgot to measure it before the soak so I'm not sure how much it shrank.

It's not the shipping as much as it is the labor costs.

To cut and sew a garment in the US is anywhere from 60% to 80% less than what it costs in Japan. Also, not to mention fabrics milled in Japan cost anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times as much as anything from the states.

i got the rodeo blouse, its the same material as the biribi they said. be careful if you soak it, the back patch bleeds, pulled mine out of the soak and it looked like someone put a wet tea bag on the back of it. came out w/ 3x cold rinse. i wear a 38 normally and had to buy a size 42.

Did you get the jacket it J10? If so what was the shrinkage like?

it took some of the bulkiness out. I buy size 42 suits, and this was a 40. It still needed some shrinking. I did one cold soak about 15m and let dry. Not enough. Then a 30m hot soak. i think the fit is right. The original problem was the bulk and length of the arms.

I have a long lens on my camera. I gotta run like 20-30 feet before the camera goes off. So mad about it.

I want to do full body shots. But I would be so far away from the camera that someone would think it was just left there and take it.
