someone's trying to "knock" him off? Did you contact the police?

People weren't literally trying to "knock" him off. They were trying to jerk him off.

Really? They (MFSC) seem really concerned with designs being knocked off. If somebody really wanted to knock off their clothing, they just need to buy it.
I am assuming that it has to do with people attempting to knock him off.

I said "I am assuming." What would another reason be that they would not want photographs taken of their upcoming lines?

On their website and in couple interviews Christophe seems really paranoid about people snagging their designs.

How far ahead were his designs two, three seasons?

I know this. Also another reason I did not find it odd. As Akuma stated a few pages back, F/W 2010. Now I'm sure Christope has seasons ahead of that, but that we were able to preview... F/W 2010.

Now f/w 2010... expect to see some 'reappearances' from some old favorites with new twists...

Ahh - I see now. So are the reappearances from the navy inspired line or the motorcycle/mechanics stuff? It's okay if you can't talk about it either. I'm just genuinely curious. Figure people would be a little more chatty about the new stuff considering how many people I'm sure attended and saw the new line....or maybe it wasn't worth talking about ;)

The mistique about engineer boots beside the toe shape (with/without steel toe) and silhouette, to me, is the inset strap and buckle. I'm disappointed to see that the inset straps on the MF's are way too high. You'd have to roll up your trousers really high just to reveal the buckle (I mean why else does one choose this style of boot); otherwise, it's just like wearing a pair of, say, Pecos or Cowboy boots. I've owned litterally about twenty pair of engineer/motorcycle boots over the past nineteen years, both vintage and current - a pair of more authentic looking engineers can be had for well under $500. Heck, Red Wing 2268's can be had for under $300 and those are some good looking boots. At first glance, based on all the photo's I've seen, the MF boots look really good, but otherwise they are way overpriced and just don't cut the mustard, IMOHO.

i would agree, but if you see them in real life they are actually way more beautiful than the pics and they feel rock solid. But as I have already stated they are just too expensive.

It does look like true black in that pic, but in the MF lookbook it looks like dark indigo chambray. I hope it's the dark indigo. I'll check it out @ SENY when it drops

You're right, the swatch in the lookbook does have the alternating black/indigo warp and weft.

Looks like lots of artificial on that truck. Lame.

It is only fitting. Pulling up to an expo where Japanese repro companies come to show their best impression/interpretation of America around 1930. From afar it looks really nice, but the closer you look there seems to be something fishy. The replica has replaced reality, but it is LA and one must expect that in the city of dreams... er I mean angels.

edit: before I get flamed. I consider myself one of those "dudes," but I just don't take myself as seriously as others.

Raw versus washed car argument?

Next level.

What's the waist like on the riders chinos? TTS? Anyone notice that they're linking to this thread from misterfreedom.com now for questions like that?

They've had a link up for a while. Too bad the people have to read all the bullshit about how (in)authentic the paint job on Christophe's truck is. God forbid the guy should have a little fun.
