Probably for the best (for my wallet, at any rate). I remember when those came into Selfridges when I used to work for Diesel in there. They were £250, which for a pair of jeans in 1998 was a lot! I'd love to find a deadstock pair, but I guess I will search in vain.

If I remember right, the selvedge is half-yellow and half-blue?

I wish there were "jean shops" like this where I am from. Seems like just such an awsome vibe in there. To sound cliche, it looks to really be about the denim. And in store hemming like this is something that I do not understand why all stores that sell Jeans does not have. Chainstich or not.
