saw them last night in seattle. ummm maybe i need more alcohol or drugs or something, but i though it was pretty terrible. maybe i had the wrong idea about mstrkrft in first place. didn't know i was going to a rave.

got one hell of a dance dance workout seeing mstrkrft/steve aoki. caught mstrkrft's flask they threw out into the audience. flskrkrft? mstrflsk?

my story of the night: talked to this chick at the bar for a little while, she was with her sister and her brother in law. i met up with her by the stage and we danced a bit then i decided we should do one of those cute little high-five repeatedly to the beat moves. my high-fiving hand's elbow got a little wild though and went straight into her eye socket three times in a row. she ducked away and i saw her with some other dude like 3 minutes later. damn.

best story evar

went out to celebrate close highschool friends bday and was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of my hs friends there and went drinking at a bar afterwards... and just realized how old we've all gotten. time flies. wish i was a lil more drunk tho... drinks in the city cost an arm and a leg and now ive realized where i stand on the stratification line when everyones started their full time jobs where i have been behind a semester and will most likely make very little in comparrison. i need to strive for more

Saw the new pornographers.

Realised why i used to love them so much a couple of years back.

Such a great gig, and when they played the go-betweens' 'love goes on!' my mind was blown.

really? i saw them about two years ago, they sounded perfectly album-quality but i thought they had no energy on the stage...maybe they were excited to be in australia. good band though

anyway

last night...spent too long sleeping uncomfortably on a bus from jerusalem to haifa. then passed out as soon as i touched my bed, after having spent the past 60 hours pretty much sleepless in yerushaliym on yom kippur...baruch hashem

friday night: recorded an experimental music concert in a church in greenpoint. and then stayed up all night performing with 5 other musicians on the radio from 2 to 6 in the morning. Had a disappointing breakfast.

saturday night: played a gig in a venue that used to be a funeral home but the duppies fucked up my recording.

make you feel all better about yourselves, i will tell you about last night, i went to a pumpkin carving get-together. dont know why but my best friends' girlfriend kept telling me for a couple of weeks now that we need to carve pumpkins, and finally last night i went over to their spot and we carved pumpkins.

this has become a bit of a tradition, 3rd year. we had fun the girls made cupcakes and my other friend barbecued, and this time there was some drinking. my pumpkin was so bad ass! good times

I have gotten two phone calls from tag-lit birthright in the past few days for an interview to go to Israel this winter but I won't be able to go until possibly this summer. I am really excited about going. Have you or anyone else ever taken this trip?

did it with my brother two summers ago. really worth it, man. there's something incredibly moving about being in the cradle of religion, even if you're barely (if it all) religious. really puts things into perspective, easy to step back and have a few moments with yourself.

hopefully you'll score a good group. we managed to drink heavily and rage (our ex-military specialist israeli tour guide included) almost every night and still get up at 6 am to tour historic spots all day.

its actually extremely easy, all you've gotta do is prove that a relation, namely your grandmother on your mothers side was jewish. if you go to them and tell them that she was a convert or that she was non-practicing but raised as such, they'll probably be all for it.

i'm doin birthright sometime in the next year or so.
