i tanned mine for only a couple hours - it didnt make much of a visible difference at all. i just wanted to start using the sucker straight away! applied a coat of obeneaufs LP and then started using. its NOWHERE near that dark though, that shit looks like chocolate! good stuff dude.

No tanning, just a little bit of LP.

i put my logo-side facing outside and the logo-side is lighter than the other side.

This is more for the DIY-ers on this thread -

I recently got a HUGE box of free leather scraps from Horween leather here in Chicago. There's no way I can use all of it by myself so if anyone's interested, I'm willing to send a flat rate priority mail box full of scraps as long as you pay for the shipping. The pieces are all of decent size, suitable for crafts since that's what I told them I wanted it for. Only downside is that they're all this dark brown color but i figure for practice etc it's not too big a deal.

Might take me a while to get these out since my work hours are kinda hectic but I just wanted to see if anyone was interested.

Rome your new KC's Ranchero is absolutely fantastic, maybe a bit showy for me but it is truly beautiful. The chain looks like its straight of a lunging whip. The detailing is amazing and the construction appears to be second to none.

Nah thats the norm, you'll be fine. anyway heres the pics of the KC's wallet I ordered a while back. This is the ranchero model mid length wallet with tan and brown chain. The quality on this thing is amazing so thick, and the leather is buttery smooth.

I'll snap a few tonight, if they don't work I'll do it in the morning. But for now to give you an idea, it is just a little bit bigger than a standard Red Moon. It doesn't stick out of my pocket, but it is a bit thicker. Seems like a perfect excuse to post pics of my butt. :eek:

I just got it so there really isn't any wear on it as of now. I'm pretty sure that this is preoiled. The wallet itself is a cream color not "untanned" The inside of it is natural/untanned. I carry my wallet in my right pocket I just wear the snap facing my ass, it doesn't really bother me at all.

i was fooling around with some leather dyes tonight, i made this. it's a layer of antique black wiped away quick, then a deep purple. I really like it, esp the black inside and the contrast stitching. The photos don't do it justice, I sent a while polishing it and it's all shiney and nice. I think this one is going to my mom next time i see her
