damn thats...deep?

that shit is like the 2007 version of crackers wearing african medallions.

waa waa, so theres some letters on a tee shirt that you dont dig, i dont like the outfit as a whole either, but at least it isnt another mindless neutral colored tee, jeans, and chucks outfit. doesnt belong in this thread, maybe "shit you hate"

As opposed to the old faithful hype/hype/hype/hype outfit?

not a huge fan of those either, but at least their something to look at. would you rather watch paint dry, or a car wreck in action? thats my take.

I normally like everything you have to say, but this whole racism-against-white-people-being-okay-because-they're-white deal really has to go. Racism is racism regardless, and being of what would generally be considered "white" descent, I'm getting pretty fed up reading this.

but in American history black people have always been the disenfranchised, the underdogs so they have the monopoly on racism. Any minority should be able to give shit to any majority imo. It`s just like that. Shut up and deal with it whitey.

i don't care if these jeans look like fenoms or phenomenon. the color/fading is weak. the sizing on the tee and the demin is not appropriate for this subject's tiny frameb (the rise of the denim makes me mad and the sleeves of subject's tee are longer then my rep). the fit kind of sucks. the gucci belt is totally obnoxious. the fact that the subject would go out of his way to actually half-tuck his tee in order to show off the belt irritates me.

not the worst, but i don't think that any self-respecting maggot would choose to live on the turd that is this fit.

basically it comes down to the "how come black people can say cracker but white people can't say 'the n word'" thing...about 500 years of slavery and opression is how come. Milspex hits the nail on the head.

Essentially i tihnk the tshirt is kindof the clothing version of "black police showin' out for a white cop", and really doesn't look right on ol' whitey up there.

Well, this is worst WAYWT, where we're supposed to post the car wrecks. There's never anything 'worst' about plain tee/denim/chucks after all.

JDM's post... ugly shoes/jeans combo... that makes zero sense with the jack and the pose makes his head look small. :(

also--"racism is racism" ain't true--this is something most folk don't understand--i'm not saying any kind of prejudice from anyone is a-ok, but ... Racism ultimately is a system not simply a singular act of violence committed by one individual against another. O'Reilly and Rush might have the rest of the US spun, but folk know that "black people" in America don't have any real power--that is without bending over or going down on some Conservative shaft--embracing and wallowing in Racist Love--even then they just be tokens ultimately.

SO--this system is unconscious (see: the doll test and little black kids) and normalizes rich white males while trying to make the rest of humanity fit into little neat boxes framed by (positive and/or negative) stereotypes.

now, everyone can really be prejudiced. some of the most prejudiced folk i know are old japanese men and old black men. but what community has as much socio-economic power to systematically own all others in the United States than the dominant/well-off white guys? ... now when we talk about a group of kids picking on a poor defenseless white kid for a beatdown, then tables are turned, but that doesn't change the fact that the minority group's community continuely gets owned by the white dominant.

blahblahblah. the point -- if you got defensive about folk questioning why yer wearing a shirt like that--you shouldn't be wearing it 'cause yer not down--imo. But, hey, maybe it's just a slip-up and 90% of the time yer some real social justice/human rights activist who understands the complicatedness of whiteness and how it's the fakest and most constructed "race" of all.

Guess what? I'm white, and neither I nor my family has no connection to slavery, nor to any other more contemporary racist acts throughout history, at least that I can trace. So, why should I have to read hateful shit about how my face (or, more immedietely, ME) is "fake" or "evil?"

well crillz, the honorable w fard mohammed basically told me that you are evil. it is in your nature, because you are the grafted devil created by the mad scientist yacub. it's just basic science, really. your 6000 year rule is about to come to an end, and i think instead of having a big kerfuffle over handing over the oval office, you should exit gracefully. I know the 120 lessons

got to come in defense of a fellow swede here..

that fit/pic isnt that bad. If the am1s where changed for chucks no one would have raised an eyebrow...

and small head? hmm

I dont like the fit of his jacket...shoulders look really wide, but maybe he is a big guy, the sunglasses hanging from his shirt, shoes, or the haircut. but thats about it.

it is called white privilege, and i love you very, very much, and i think you should read about it. Here's a little breakdown from the surprisingly well-maintained Wiki page:

"Whites can turn on the television or read the newspaper and expect to see members of their own race widely and positively depicted

Whites can expect their children to read books and materials in school that affirm and discuss the history of their race;

Whites easily locate books, greeting cards, toys, and magazines prominently featuring members of their race;

Whites are most often evaluated by members of their own race

Whites can expect higher incomes with the same level of education.

Whites do not appear threatening to those of the dominant culture.

Whites can swear, dress in second-hand clothes, or not answer letters, without having others attribute these behaviors to the bad morals, the poverty, or the illiteracy of their race;

Whites can speak their opinions without being asked to speak for their race;

Whites can do well without being called credits to their race;

Whites do not have to wonder whether they are being singled out because of their race when being approached by the police;

Whites can take jobs without accusations that they were hired as part of racial quotas"

Racism in america today isn't about slavery or who's granddaddy owned who, it is about the aftereffects of a long, difficult battle to level the playing field, and the institutionalized degradation of ethnic cultures at the hands of establishing white american culture as a social norm.

No one is saying it is your fault, and all the jokes about whitey being evil are just that- jokes. What this does mean, however, is that we have a long way to go before a lot of those things in that list become untrue, and taking an aggressive stance on any side- white or non-white, is mutually exclusive to change.

So, was all the extraneous 'crackers is evil' stuff pointless? Yeah. But you know how we joke on here. But, taking offense at that guy wearing that shirt, in my opinion, is a genuine response and a necessary response from a person of color.
