One of my favorite hip hop records as well. I took a trip to Boston a few years ago with only this record. A four hour bus ride was nothing with it on hand.

I would (and maybe still do) have agreed with this a couple months back...but when I sat down and gave return of the mac a full listen through, my mind changed. The shit just sounds so lonely and paranoid, almost scared, and drips with violence in a way that's alot more visceral (though maybe less "raw" in the traditional sense) than his older shit.

It's something new and different, and man....I put P's questionable street cred behind him ages ago. Sometimes you just have to do it.

He's still nice with the bars and flow every now and then too, what's that one:
