Starching Dry Denim Delp :(

HI guys, first time starching my own jeans, and I think I messed up. I have a pair of Nudie Jeans and I decided to starch them up. I got some normal corn starch and I mixed it with water, and when I sprayed it on and ironed it, my jeans don't look that indigo anymore. They look WHITE. Is it supposed to discolor the jeans? And how do I fix it? :\ Thanks

One more thing, I have a bottle of Faultless starch spray, but the problem is that it is Original fresh scent. I heard to use scentless so thats why I tried making my own liquid starch. I think I may have added too much starch in my own spray, thats why it became all white. How can I fix it?

just wash & wear.
