alright, so i have a pair of these:

note the leather sole. wore them out a few weeks ago (yeah, i know, shit move). got crunk, ended up dancing on a floor covered in broken glass, woke up in the morning to the soles covered in small & large chunks of glass ingrained in the sole. too much to remove.

my first question is, can i get shooz like this resoled at a cobbler or something? got mad OCD and i can't walk around indoors with shoes i know have glass in them.

second question, how can i prevent this in the future with leather soled shoes? can i get a cobbler to put a protective rubber layer or some shit over the soles?

Home- You can get a thin ruber sole put on most shoes like that pretty easy. Superthin ones don't protect as much or last as long but they'll preserve the silhouette more

How often do you see your self dancing on broken glass? If its a one off, then i'd forget the rubber. You loose the click clack.

Otherwise get the cobbler to put a layer of rubber on the bottom, and a set of toe taps. Get the toe taps anwyay.

I would only ever consider doing this with a knit tie. The polo collar shape and pique cotton fabric just look tacky as fuck with a silk tie.
