i will be going to tokyo this august and was wondering if anyone knew of the "top ten things to do if you've got a week in tokyo"? Also, i was wondering if you knew of some great places to go/see in osaka, i will be there for a week also. thanks.

go eat the "real" sushi none of that so-called sushi in america thats own by Koreans...

also, walk thru tokyo, i mean walk....it will help you understand the city more.

You must visit Shibuya, Harajuku & Diakanyama........

1:Take a train from hotel to Shinjuku---shopping!

2:Take a train from Shinjuku to Harajuku---shopping!!

3:Walk to Aoyama from Harajuku---shopping!!!

4:Take a train to from Aoyama to Shibuya---shopping!!!!

Lastly....take a train back to your Hotel.....this will make one full day of shopping!

What these guys have said: Shinjuku (go to Isetan dept store); Shibuya; Harajuku (make sure you visit the back-streets, that's where all the action is); Aoyama; Daikanyama.

ALSO -

* check out Ueno! Best sneakers and denim in Tokyo.

* Go to Muji (it's a dept store, they have them in every major area of Tokyo)

* Walk through Ueno park.

* Go to Harajuku on a sunday morning, around 11. See all the weird fashion and buskers. Awesome.

* Karaoke.

There's heaps more that I didn't do over there. But everything above will definitely keep you occupied!
