Those look just about identical (welt and all) to my Thorogoods, only I've got a round toe instead of moc toe.

These have been great work boots, I wish they came in a few different colors.

^ I thought I remember reading somewhere that Thorogood manufactured them for Duluth Trading, but I could never confirm it. The round toe version sounds good - post some pics!

nice boots sweapea, they look great but mine are probably the older version with a different logo closer to the bottom of the boot. glad they do serve you well though! they are indeed very comfortable.

^Kinda weird, but my wife brought those jeans home from Target whilst picking up essential home items. She just saw the redlines and thought she'd pick 'em up. They are the All Star brand and were $39.00. I kinda like the red chainstitching.

Hi all!

Just because horsehide is so awesome (and because this new thread is fantastic ), TheBlackGoat has come up with an interesting group buy - a pair of service-style boots made with Horween's burgundy Chromexcel (i.e. vegetable re-tanned) horse butt leather!!!

To my knowledge no such configuration in a service boot exists currently... the burgundy CXL horsebutt will be a perfect balance between pure veg. tanned horsehide and cordovan - retaining the fascinating horsehide grain of the former whilst approaching the greasiness & shine of the latter.

We have found a traditional and respected boot-maker to craft our project boots...currently I estimate the delivery time will be around February/March, and the pricing may be between $250 to $300 (unconfirmed).
