The book is not with me right now. But as far as i can remember, all faded samples of Denime didn't have the red tab(a.k.a. the new Denime)

I've interpreted this thread very loosely, some may even say misinterpreted it here. However, if you come across any of the children's books illustrated by Ben Cort, there will be a subtle surprise for denim fans. Whenever one of the characters is sporting a pair of jeans or denim shorts, he will always draw them with a cuff and visible red selvage. Sometimes he even throws in a patch and Levi's style arcuates or best of all, leg twist!
