So my younger brother actually applies ketchup to his rice. I think its fucking gross but do any of you do it as well?

I've done done it back in like 5th grade. Haven't really eaten it with ketchup since. It ain't so bad.

Wild rice is actually cereal. For good cheap eats, prepare it with chicken broth instead of straight water and toss in a bowl of mirepoix near the end.

Rice cookers are awesome but don't use one with wild rice.

Edit, ALWAYS wash that shit really well before cooking too.

I do that all the time with egg + kimchi + onion + black bean banchan as a quick and dirty fried rice alternative. Having stuff on top of the rice during cooking means its a little less fluffy but you also get a nice crispy layer on the bottom. MmMMmmmmm

i used to eat rice with ketchup as a kid. don't do it anymore, but i add some pretty random shit at times. sometimes i throw in orange marmalade

maybe it's cuz i've had rice nearly every day forever, but i don't really like rice anymore. i make it a point to never order a rice dish whenever i go out to eat

love rice noodles though. definitely ho fun more than mai fun

My parents moved from Cambridge to Tyngsboro when my sister and I graduated from college, and I go there for holidays and long weekends etc.

I compulsively explore new places when I get to them, so I went nuts driving around looking for places my first visit. I got lost on some back road looking for RR Records in downtown lowell and ended up driving past Peephuptmei and stopped for lunch and had my mind blown. HUGE portions, fresh food, super low prices, nice neighborhood place. There's this one milfy waitress there who I am convinced has implants.
