yeah, my old job was literally across the street from that building (b/t 49 and 50, close enough though). i tried not to go too often b/c its not the healthiest lunch, but that place is tasty! pescado tacos were my fac.

^^ yeah dude. usually $1 slice joints are terrible by nyc standards. their only saving grace is a high turnover rate due to the price, so everything is fresh. regardless, it's prob better than what you're getting in florida.

ps - i can't fuck w/ pizza prices any more. a plain slice is $2.50 across the street from my apt. $2.50!!! you used to be able to get a slice and a soda for that price 6 months ago. or one of those crazy slices w/ like ziti on top.

I'm planning to go to NYC in either august or summer...my debate between the two dates only hinges on two basic things:

1. is weather in sept noticeably better than august? (i've been told the humidity is still in full effect in august)

2. which month would be better to visit so that I can be first in line (or near it) to cop fall goods?

1. yes, august (esp early on) is probably the hottest time of the year

2. depends on what kind of stuff you're looking for. barneys is already getting in f/w collections. also note during august a lot of people leave the city during weekends so there's less competition shopping wise.
