Neutral Jeans

Thought these deserved their own thread as I think I'm the first person to order these outside Japan.

I've got the 1954 on the way via proxy. The owner doesn't speak a word of English but his sister did some translating and was very helpful but it was getting so complicated I went via sutocorp. He will sell direct but I'm the first person he's ever sold to outside of Japan. They are raw, unwashed.

I really like the denim, construction is what you'd expect from a Japanese jean I think though time will tell!

Cut is a 1954 cut, pretty true to early 1950's 501's I think, maybe slightly lower rise. Legs are loose but not too baggy. I got a w36 and stopped the waist shrinking in the cold soak, guess inseam shrank a couple of inches.

I like them. It is a WWII cut all the usual details...painted arc, green HBT pocket bags, painted donut buttons. Cotton is from Cameroon. Denim has this subtle slub/streakyness to them and a subtle green caste. Construction looks great but I haven't soak or worn them to give a real opinion.
